Discover the enchanting timeless beauty of Turin, the ancient capital of Italy and explore the delightful territories nestled between the alps and the Po Valley, the “Langhe” and “Roero” areas, through their farms, their historic centers, and their food and wine tastings dripping in tradition. Only an one hour and a half drive from Milan airport, this is the home of the two greatest Italian red wine areas: Barolo and Barbaresco, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The perfect mix of wonderful landscapes and even more wonderful food and wine.

Travel Turin Piedmont
1° day: Milan - Turin

After your arrival, get comfortable for your private transfer from Milan airport to Turin, the first capital of unified Italy in 1861. Check-in at the Hotel, unwind and relax. In the afternoon, create your first sweet memory of the trip with the delicious “Merenda Reale” and start immersing yourself in the XIX century.
Enjoy your overnight at hotel Allegro Italia Golden Palace.

2° day: Turin

After breakfast, get ready for a full-day private guided tour.
The morning starts at the Royal Palace, the most important historic palace of the House of Savoy; move on to discover the National Cinema Museum located inside the Mole Antonelliana and enjoy an interactive and charming visit to find out about the history of cinema, through amazing sets, projections, photos and memorabilia. Hop from one historic coffee shop to another and learn the social ritual of the middle-class of the XIX century of having a coffee. Return to the hotel and relax.

  • “Basilica of Superga” with its Royal Tombs and its Royal Residence. Take the 131 steps to reach the stunning Juvarra Dome and enjoy the breathtaking panorama of Turin with its valleys and mountains.
  • Automobile Museum, the ideal visit to learn about the modern history of Turin and the automobile.
  • Egyptian Museum, an incredible museum founded in 1824,with many archaeological finds of Ancient Egypt. Take your time and admire incredible beauties, monumental statues, papyri, mummies, sarcophagi and everyday tools, and discover the most fascinating civilization in the world.
  • Venaria’s Palace, one of the Royal residences the House of Savoy used for hunting. Visit the private and the public spaces and then enjoy a relaxing stroll in the wonderful gardens of the old residence.
Cherasco Piedmont Travel Italy
3° day: Turin - Cherasco - Penango

After breakfast, you will be transferred with a chauffeured Mercedes vehicle to Cherasco where you will meet your private tour guide.
Visit this beautiful town and enjoy the “Baci di Cherasco”, a local delicacy, in one of the most historic pastry shops. Have lunch at leisure in one of the charming restaurants of Cherasco.
In the afternoon, enjoy a private guided tour in a renowned cellar followed by a special tasting. Back to the hotel, relax and unwind. 

Truffle Food Italy Piedmont
4° day: Penango - Neive – Alba - Penango

Meet your private tour guide and driver after breakfast at the hotel and depart for a panoramic tour through the Barbaresco’s hillsReach Neive, “one of the most beautiful towns in Italy”.  Enjoy a walking tour in the historical centre, before being transferred to a prestigious Barbaresco-producing cellar for a tour and a tasting.
Spend your lunch time in Alba, the city with a hundred towers, famous for its truffle production. Enjoy the flavor of the truffle and all the culinary excellences of this land at leisure (lunch not included).
Walk the streets of the old town and get in touch with its traditions and old testimonies of the past.
Return to the hotel and enjoy a late afternoon of pure relaxation.

POSSIBLE ADD ONS 

  • Truffle experience: enjoy a guided tour with a truffle hunter to discover everything about truffles, the local traditions, their growth environment, their varieties and characteristics. Savour a decadent truffle tasting with local cheese and wine. 
5° day: Penango - Grinzane Cavour - Borgomale - Barolo - Penango

After breakfast, meet your private tour guide and driver at the hotel and depart for Grinzane Cavour Castle, the ancient home of Count Camillo Benso di Cavour (closed on Tuesdays), the undisputed protagonist of the unification of Italy, who lived there between 1832 and 1849. Continue towards Borgomale to discover the pristine landscapes of the Alta Langa. Visit a traditional cheese factory and enjoy a light lunch with its products. In the afternoon, after reaching Barolo, visit the new and astonishing Barolo Regional Wine Museum.
After dinner (not included) get back to the hotel for a relaxing evening.

POSSIBLE ADD ONS 

  • Visit the historic winery of Fontanafredda, with over one hundred hectares of precious vineyards that were once owned by King Vittorio Emanuele II and savour a fantastic tasting at the end of the visit.
  • Art experience:  enjoy a contemporary art visit to the little chapel decorated by Tremlett in the middle of the Moscato vineyards and a panoramic aperitif.
Travel wine Italy Barolo
6° day: Penango - Barolo - Penango

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer by private car to Barolo, a small village hidden in the Piedmontese Langhe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to their wonderful agricultural landscape. Get welcomed and briefed by professional and certified hot-air balloon pilots. After take off you will fly over this wonderful wine area and experience a toast at high altitude. Upon landing, return to Barolo and savour a tasteful brunch/lunch at a renowned winery. Return to the hotel and unwind for the evening.

Langhe UNESCO Italy Travel
7° day: Penango - Milan

After breakfast, check out and depart for Milan Apt.
