Ferrari tour between Tuscany and Liguria

Arrive at the airport, meet with our driver, get transferred and checked-in at the “Hotel Excelsior” in Florence. In the afternoon enjoy a guided tour of the historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and an aperitif on the hotel rooftop, from which you can enjoy an exciting view. After dinner at leisure, rest for the evening.

After breakfast at the hotel, meet with the tour guide, get delivery and a briefing of the Ferrari car, and get ready to leave for the Tuscan countryside; stop at the prestigious Cantina Antinori, in Chianti, where lunch is scheduled. In the afternoon continue to San Gimignano, with a visit to the wonderful medieval historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and finally to Castelfalfi, where you will have dinner in a “trattoria” before returning back to the “Toscana Resort Castelfalfi” for the night.

Have breakfast at the hotel and departs towards Volterra, where our private guide will take you to explore the extraordinary urban fabric, in which are preserved traces dating back to the Etruscan era, such as the gates built about 2400 years ago, numerous Roman archaeological remains, including the magnificent theater, and various medieval buildings, especially those overlooking the beautiful Piazza dei Priori. You will also visit an alabaster workshop, a local artisan excellence. After lunch at leisure, continue in the direction of Pisa, to admire its most famous monuments, gravitating around the Piazza del Duomo, or of the Miracles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then proceed to the elegant Forte dei Marmi, on the Versilia coast, with accommodation and overnight at the “Relais il Botaccio” hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, depart aboard an SUV with our private guide towards the Carrara quarries, on the slopes of the Apuan Alps, where the precious white marble has been extracted since the Roman age. Explore the mining basins in a dazzling lunar whiteness mountain scenery. In the afternoon, continue to the Portofino area, with accommodation at the Miramare hotel in Santa Margherita Ligure.

Have breakfast at the hotel and enjoy a day at leisure to discover the idyllic views of this fairy-tale village, nestled in a hidden, secret cove. We recommend a walk, uphill but easy, from the famous “square” to the imposing Castello Brown, at the top of the promontory crest, which overlooks the entire bay.

After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Lucca, one of the main artistic towns of Tuscany; discover a perfectly preserved center, in which different layers overlap, from the Roman, testified by the fundamental center square of the Amphitheater, to the great medieval monuments, with the stupendous Cathedral of San Martino, and to the sixteenth-century walls, still intact. During the tour, have a taste of the “Buccellato”, a dessert prepared by a historic pastry shop, and take the opportunity to visit the “Giacomo Puccini House-Museum”. Continue on to Florence, and check-in at the “Excelsior hotel.

Have breakfast at the hotel and get ready for a fantastic itinerary to discover the most profound, emblematic Tuscany, with a visit to the village of Monteriggioni, one of the best European examples of a medieval village fortified by a wall, and to Siena, which boasts a wonderful historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in which the magnificent Piazza del Campo, theater of the famous Palio, and the Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece, stand out. Enjoy lunch in an excellent city restaurant and return to Florence.
